Mein zweites Buch der Autorin und ich fand es beinah genau so gut. (Das andere war Daisy Jones and the six)
Taylor Jenkins Reid hat ein unglaubliches Talent dafür, fiktive Figuren leben zu lassen. Es fühlt sich einfach echt und real an, als hätte es diese Figuren wirklich gegeben, als wäre dieses Buch eine echte Biografie.
Ich hab das Buch gelesen, ohne den Klappentext wirklich gelesen zu haben und das ermöglichte mir einige Überraschungen beim lesen.
Ich habe regelrecht mit Monique mitgefiebert, mir überlegt, was wohl das grosse Geheimnis um Evelyn Hugo und ihre sieben Ehemänner ist und am Ende sass ich erschlagen von Emotionen da und habe geweint. Vor Schock, vor Wut, vor Verständnis, vor Respekt gegenüber Evelyn Hugo.
